ARTISTS
Gabi Telcocci Alexander
My name is Gabi Telcocci Alexander and I am an artist, and I believe that you are too! I was raised with a very creative family and have never been scared to try anything artistic. I studied Art and English in college, and then went to work in the marketing field. Once I had children, I 2019d volunteer at their schools offering a variety of art and design skills, from creating the weekly school newsletter, to teaching basic calligraphy to the students, and organizing art projects for school auctions, to designing Vacation Bible Study sets, and much more. Once my kids grew out of wanting me to be at their schools (gasp!), I found other ways to be creative by volunteering at an assisted living center hosting monthly painting classes to working as an Adjunct Art Teacher at Francis Tuttle Vo Tech.
I find inspiration from nature, real life feminine heroes, and the fabulous artists I find on social media, especially Instagram and Pinterest. I would describe my style as beautiful chaos because my paintings always start out with a chaos of color in the background. Sometimes I add layers of whatever paper I may come across at the time. Then I smudge more paint, use stencils and paint other patterns to somehow mash the paper into the background so it doesn 2019t feel like it 2019s sitting on top. Once I 2019m happy with the background, I let it tell me what it would like to become. Sometimes I know what I 2019m going for as I 2019m creating the background, other times, a background may sit for weeks before it 201cbecomes 201d something else. I hope you 2019ll join me in the process sometime. Look forward to meeting you!

I have admired and respected the high country of the Rocky Mountains for as long as I can remember, so every chance I get i load the family up and head for the Mountains. This particular snippet in time was captured on our last morning on the Dolores River while the wife and I drank coffee on the porch. The eb and flow of the water produces a ripple that I feel in my soul and this young doe joined us for a spell to share a serene moment in time, She didn't seem to mind our presence and allowed u

Title or Location: Pumpkin with Garden Eggplants
Every year, for the past 40 years, my children have expected at least one drawing of a pumpkin sometime in the fall. It?s become a fun family tradition that gets me back to drawing if I?ve been in a dry spell. Last year the ?pumpkin? was a turban squash that yielded 2 very different drawings. ?Pumpkin with Garden Eggplants?, pastel on paper, 9?x 12? and ?Pumpkin with Bandana? (?Pumpkin ?25?) colored pencil on paper, 8?x 8?.

I loved this photograph from John Strachan photography and finally got around to painting it in acrylic. I tried to be quite loose with the painting as there was so much detail. in the end I thought the sky looked a bit bare so with the help of Chat GPT I added seagulls to the photo and was then able to paint them into my art work. This painting will be heading for the Aberdeen art show the end of August for sale.

I am Tracey, a self-taught artist from Plymouth, UK, I have been developing my coloured pencil techniques for the past year . My aim is always to capture not only the likeness of an animal but also the personality and spirit that make them so special to the people who love them.In this piece, Colin is shown resting amongst a vibrant meadow of wildflowers, his striking green eyes drawing the viewer in. The detailed fur work, delicate whiskers, and colourful floral surroundings were all carefull
